Botanical Medicine: For thousands of years, people from all over the world have used their local plants as medicine for all sorts of ailments. I am trained in the traditional uses of many plants, as well as the current scientific research on botanical medicine. Treatment with botanicals can include the use of tinctures, teas, capsules or tablets, powders, or topical treatments (such as creams or lotions).
Nutritional Supplementation: There are a LOT of supplements available on the market these days, and it can be incredibly confusing to navigate them. I can help clarify whether or not any vitamins, minerals, or other supplements will be helpful for you, how much is safe to take, and how you can find quality product options.
Acupuncture and Asian Medicine: New research on the effectiveness of acupuncture is coming out all the time. It can help with anything from muscle and joint pain to fertility problems, headaches, or anxiety (just to name a few!). Acupuncture needles are VERY thin compared to the needles used for procedures like immunization or blood draws, and therefore cause minimal (if any) discomfort. In fact, people generally find their acupuncture treatments to be relaxing and enjoyable!
